You know what makes me happy???

Today I went to pick Jackson up from school and he was waiting on the sidewalk with his teacher holding his hand. When he saw the van he smiled really big and waved!!!

I think I am the only mom that the first thing he says to me is... "I've been really good mom!" Everyone just laughs, but those are the sweetest little words!! I am enjoying the time I have by myself with him. I am going to feel so lost come fall when he is in school all day with Joshua!

This house will be so quiet!!!

So tell me...

What everyday things makes you happy??

Watching my children sleep. I love them when they are awake, but there is just an amazing sweetness to a sleeping child!

I love to hear my daughter on the phone. So sounds so sweet!! She calls me everyday we are not together and always before she goes to bed if spending the night somewhere else!

Isn't if funny what we once thought would make us so happy, isn't what makes us happy at all? My children definately top the list of what makes me happy. One thing that makes the super happy is when my husband and I are in the room together and I catch him looking at me in that twinkle in eyes, he's so in love, thinks I'm the only girl in the world sort of way.

I love the toys scattered in my house (sorta). It means that my kids are playing with what they have & they are happy.

Sometimes I wonder about people who find pleasure only in making money, buying new cars, etc. It does not take much to make me happy; I delight in the "little happenings" in my life from getting a new towel bar to watching my tree out front bloom. Of course, my family makes me happy....for example, our eldest Grandgirl, Angelina, loves to have me brush her hair with my old, old, old Avon brush (bought in the 60s.) Now you can't get any better than that!

I've been wavering on whether or not I really want children but these responses make me think I don't know what I'm missing!!!! :)
I makes me happy to have friends like you!

You are not the only one w/a child that says something like that to you first thing. Andrew has a "responsiblity card" in his class and if he's good for the 7 hours of school then he gets 7 points. Most days and every day for a while when he was having problems and we were having to work with him on it, he would say immediately when he got in the van, "I got all 7 points today!" LOL

I just posted on my blog today something that makes me happy which is when my kids play together outside for a long time, having fun, imagining and swinging and everything else. :)
