Whew.. I am posting!!!

The last month has been insane. It seems as if everything is going on at once and we have had some family issues that have taken some attention and then work.. well, that is always an issue.

So remind me again why we have to work? I know I know... to support ourselves. And with Gas Prices rising like they are... well, I guess I have to work! Plus I always need new scrappy stuff! :)

At my house we are getting ready for Joshua to take his End of Grade Exames. (EOG's) He is totally oblivious that these are important. I am quite nervous. With all the things we have been through with him I just want to see him do well. Lately he has seemed to be getting tripped up by careless mistakes. He knows the material. He can do the work, but it just does not always reflect in his grades.

I am also getting ready for summer. I have ordered the work books the boys will use over the summer to review their work for the next grade year. I am looking at the Free movie listings and trying to get some kind of schedule going so I can also get in my work somewhere in the middle of it all. I love this time of the year. I love planning things so this is fun for me!

Now, I need to go visit some blogs!

Oh My Goodness!!!

This has been insane!!! I have totally missed up on my regular blogging and my blog hopping for that matter. Guess I have some catching up to do, but really I can't right now. I have to take Joshua to his pet club meeting and try to spend some time with the family. Whew.. I will be back tomorrow I promise!

I was in college at ASU. Jason was singing in the Glee Club and they had a concert on April 15, 1994. My parents, his parents and some friends had come up for the concert.

Then in the middle of the concert Jason came out on stage and sang a song to me and then he invited me on stage an purposed. In front of SO many people! It was sweet! It also began a close relationship with the Glee club director who took Jason under his wing over the upcoming years.

That next day we spent a wonderful time with our families and hiked throught the mountins to see waterfalls and all kinds of crazy stuff.

For those who know me they know that I am not a center stage kind of gal, but Jason loves the spotlight. So this was perfect for him. And in the end, it was perfect for me!

We actually got married two years later.

And they lived happily ever after!

Some new fun stuff that I have....

I was reading on some message boards a few weeks ago and ran across the cutest little ETSY shop. As much as I love journaling little things on my layouts I just feel in love with her journal tags, but my favorite... was the calendar tag!!! It is just the cutest. so I put together my order and sent it on its way.

Well, then Friday I received my order and they are even cuter in person!!

Right away I went and did a layout...
I used a Sketch from the new Page Maps book which is wonderful by the way!!!

I also did this layout as part of a challenge for SBO.

Anyway.. I just want to link you to her wonderful blog and just give a good shot out as to how great her products are...

Bad Blogger!!!

Ok.. so with Spring Break last week I kinda broke my little record for blogging! That also goes for looking at blogs! ugh!!!

This week at KT crafts the DT had to use punches to create a card! (hint: the challenge this week is going to have something to do with that!) Speaking of punches I got this new punch from KT Crafts by Blue Hills Studios! It is so cool! You can cut anywhere on a page with it! It will punch circles ovals and squares. Oh and of course boarders!!! It is really neat... here is a simple card I made with it.

Photobucket

The boys have been busy with school and TKD and I am just plain BUSY! It is all good as around the 15th we will be ready for another big announcement with the company. This one should prove to keep me even more busy! I can not wait to tell everyone!!!

Whoo hooo!!!

I love this picture of the boys at Easter.

The boys are home for the week and we are ready for fun. Do today we hit the library. The one you have to be quiet in. Jackson informed me of that as we were walking in!

We also made a trip to the scrapbooking store... the boys were so good! They sat at a crop table while I shopped!! No much there but I did pick up some of the Prima Dude papers!! I LOVE them!!!!!

Then it was to Target to battle all of the people looking for Easter clearance. We did manage to get 2 very small lego kits for the boys. The never seem to have enough lego men!

Exciting stuff I know!!

Just wait.. tomorrow it is "Clean the House Day" I will have all kinds of wonderfu activities planned for the boys! LOL

Tough Choices....

Today is a big deal for me! I have stepped down from the Design Team at KT Crafts. It was so hard to do! I love it there and I have worked hard! A lot of time and energy has gone into all I have done there! I am convinced most people do not realize what goes on behind the scenes and how much work is involved. I have loved every minute of it!

It is not that I feel it can not go on without me! If anything I feel it can get better and better without me. I will still be there and I will still help with things so I am not giving it up all together. It does not make it any easier.

Maybe now I will have more time to scrap instead of just talking about it all the time!

Third...

Photobucket

Notice the medal around his neck! Yep.. that is my boy!! he placed third in sparring for his heat. He was in his first Tae Kwon Do Tournement this weekend!

He did not fare as well in his form. He says he is used to looking at the mirrors and in the gym there were no mirrors so he kinda lost his place and forgot his moves.

Honestly out of the two events I thought sparring would have been his weakest, but on Saturday that did not prove to be the case! We are so proud of him!!

The weekend was a rough one for me on many fronts. But this week is off to a good start!

The crop at KT went wonderfully and everyone seemed to have fun!

Sunday I got out of the house and spent some time with the kids at the park! That is always fun!

Photobucket

Next week is spring break for the kids! I am looking for some fun things to do...

So what was something fun you remember doing on your school breaks OR what is something fun you have done with your kids on break! If I use your idea you will get a RAK!!!

Isn't the internet wonderful....

Well, except for all those contest I win as long as I pay the fees, the pass it ons that tell me I will surely have bad luck if I do not send it to 5000 people really quickly. the hackers who do not have anything better to do with their time than to mess people up and the spammers that are really wanting to share how I can get perscription drugs cheap and improve my sex life. After all of that I happen to love the Internet!

I have met some of the coolest people from all over the world. My latest find. A young man named Chris. He is helping me with some message board issues and he lives in the UK. How cool is that?!? Here I am in my little town and there he is in his town and he can help me!! Oh and He is 16 which I think is totally cool. I guess that comes from being a mom of boys! LOL.. and boy.. I just read that sentence again... and totally cool...what is wrong with me. You can tell it is early!!!

Anyway.. I was thinking last night as I was chatting with a friend in the UK, this guy in the UK and also another friend in MD.. that this whole Internet is pretty cool!!!

I am thinking I better get some rest! I must have been chatting to much on the internet lately!

Busy...

The last two weeks have been so busy. I do not know if it is just that Spring is around the corner or if it is just my life!! I came to the conclusion a while back that something has gotta give. So now to determine exactly what and how much... well... that is the hard part. So we are working on that!

This weekend will be a busy one, but a fun one.

Starting tomorrow we will be having a crop at KT CRAFTS and to my friends there I promise not to touch the message board any more between now and then!!!

The crop will go through Sunday but what is even better is that you have a whole week to get your projects done!!! How cool is that?

My parents are coming to visit tomorrow which means i will not be around like normal for the crop, but I will still be around!!! Joshua has his first Tae Kwon Do Tourney on Saturday and that is sure to be exciting!

So what are your plans this weekend???

You know what makes me happy???

Today I went to pick Jackson up from school and he was waiting on the sidewalk with his teacher holding his hand. When he saw the van he smiled really big and waved!!!

I think I am the only mom that the first thing he says to me is... "I've been really good mom!" Everyone just laughs, but those are the sweetest little words!! I am enjoying the time I have by myself with him. I am going to feel so lost come fall when he is in school all day with Joshua!

This house will be so quiet!!!

So tell me...

What everyday things makes you happy??

whoo hooo

I have music. Crusing some of my friends blogs out there I knew I wanted music!!! So thanks Marti I kinda used your blog as my exmple for finding the music player I wanted!!! Now, I just want to keep my blog on all the time so I can hear the music...

And as of yesterday we officially have the papers signed to partners with Mike Minter in the magazine. WOW.. what a year it has been. Last year at this time we had no clue what the year would bring. I has had it rough points... ups and downs, but they were just the typically things that happen with change. Where we are today is just amazing. I am seeing Jason grow so much as a business man and learning so much. It is very exciting!!! Coming soon we will have a new adventure to talk about!!! I can not wiat to tell everyone!

Creating..

I have had some fun just playing with my supplies lately. For some reason I just have not felt very creative. I have just kind thrown some things together and if it looked good I went with it. The last couple of weeks I have really tried hard to pay attention to the small details of things. I am never going to be someone who uses tons of embelishments... that is ok.. But I am trying to take the time to make the embelishements I do use count. I am having fun with that.

Other than that there is really nothing noteworthy going on in my life! We are busy with work and that is a good thing. We are busy with family and I like that as well. The weather is starting to really get nice so maybe soon we will head out to the park for a fun spring like photo shoot with the kidos!

Changing again...

I found this template and I really love it!! It is girly enough but not too much pink!

We have been quite busy lately. Changing seasons ia always a difficult time at our house. We all tend to get sick and just generally feel bad. I have had something for the past couple of weeks and I can not completely shake it. It does not always keep me down, and I feel well enough to get out and do things. Might be time for a trip t the Dr.

I am waiting for my Big Bite to arrive! I can not wait! I use my crop a dile often and just about everytime I use it I am wishing it had a further reach on it. So I am very excited!!!

I also just found out this month that I will be going on a retreat in July! I am so excited!! I met up with several of the ladies from SBO last May and enjoyed it so much. This will be my third year scrapping with Marti and Patty. We will have a blast!

Lastly.. My DS just got his first progress report after going back into the regular classroom!!! All B's and C's! Evne with the C's it was obvious that he can do the work he is being assigned! I am so proud of him!!!

Till Later!!!

A crop for the DT!

KT Crafts has some of the best message board members around! Just before our Mini Crop in February some of them got together to plan a crop for the Design Team.

Let me just tell you they gave us some good challenges! Not only did they quiz up on how well we knew the members, but their challenges were.. well... uh.. challenging!

So I wanted to share all the challenges

Challenge A: Complete a page using no cardstock. You can use stickers, patterned paper, chipboard ets. BUT there must be atleast 10 words or journaling on the page somewhere! by Christine

Challenge B:
Create a lo or card using bleach and solid colored cardstock. (use cardstock that is not white on the back)

Take a paper towel and fold it into a small square. Place on a small plate or bowl. Soak with bleach.

You can use as a stamp pad, or use q-tips for free hand!

Challenge C
Create a layout on the following:

Number of photos: three

Titles and lettering: Word Collage

Background: Floral

Shapes: Curves

Embellishments/Accents:
Buttons
Cut from patterned paper
mesh

Journaling style: conversational

Color combinations: aqua/bright green/orange
by Brittany

Challenge D
Make a one page LO about something fictitious & it must include at least one picture that best fits the "story." It cannot be something about a Disney character or anything like that. I must be a made up story by YOU. By Beth

This was by far the most difficult of all the challenges for me!

and Finally
Challenge E
You will recieve a BOX to be delivered shortly in the box will be your project/s
You will be dressing up!!
supplies need :- scalpel,or other good cutting tool ,strong glue and a sense of humour!
You will be allowed to add anything to your project/s
ie ribbons,charm,button,flowers
You mut use at least 3 sheets of paper from the box by Rose!

We each got a Word sign in the mail! It was beautiful as it was. We also got some DCWV Dressed up paper stack. OH MY!!!

IT was a rough month trying to do the challenges on top of the other things the Design team was trying to get done, but each of us did them and I have to say I learned something about myself. I do so much better under pressure! I love each of the projects I did! I had fun doing them!

My Valenties!!!

Jason planned some things for me for Valentines...

For Valentines we actually ordered heart shaped pizza with the kids and made banana splits. Fun stuff!

On Saturday Jason sent me out around 9:30 to Planet 21 Salon. There they colored and cut my hair. Funny I thought I would end up with something totally different and the cut itself is not all that different.. just shapped better. But for color I did go darker and I like it!

Then I went to a dear friends house and she did a make over and really blessed me with tons of cool products.

Then I went out to buy a new outfit. When I got home we took the boys to my MIL's and Jason and I went out for a nice dinner. It was a great Valentines...

Whew..

It has been a busy week. And now, the worst part of my week is over and I am ready to play!!!

Perfect timing too!!!

We are having a crop at KT Crafts this weekend...

We might have a surprise or two up our sleves for this one.... :)

And last night Joshua was awarded his Orange Sr. Belt!!! It has been a good week!

Stressfull, but good!

Monday, February 4, 2008

UH OH....

In order to fully appreciate this post I have to tell a little bit about me...

I am Impossible to surprise!! It just can not be done. I can not think of many times I have every been surprised. I remember back when my mom was planning my 16th birthday surprise party. Well, I happend to come across the invite list and figurged it out.

I KNEW when my hubby was going to purpose. I figured it out. He tried to keep it a secret, but I knew. I could not help it.

Now, I am not saying that I NEVER did some snooping. Honestly as a child I ALWAYS went snooping for my Christmas gifts even playing with them and packaging them back up. Now as an adult I am contantly given a really hard time because I can not be surprised. They say it is always because I am SNOOPING.. I am NOT! :)

So that brings me to today...
DH has been trying to plan something nice for Valentines day. He has been working on it and for over a week. I play around asking him what it is, but knowing he will not tell.

I called him at work because a friend of mine can cut my hair tonight at her house. I was just calling to let him know... ask him what he thinks. She has never cut my hair, but I am pretty adventurous.

When I call he gets really upset.. and says...

"See, it is stuff like this that make it so hard to surprise you!"

Ummm ... What? What stuff? I need a hair cut and I can get it done tonight.

So, apparently he has some big day planned and is planning on me going to get my haircut and some other stuff. He is not happy with me right now because I always find out!

But again.. IT IS NOT MY FAULT! He has never planned something like this before so how was I to know?

Testing and other things

Joshua this morning is at testing. He is testing for his Orange Sr. Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is pretty nervous! I am sure he will do great so I am sitting at home waiting to hear how he thinks he did. We will not know for sure until the early part of next week, but you always have a good idea.

This afternoon I plan to be making the Valentines for the boys teachers. I found some really great ideas so we will see what I come up with. I have seven to make all together!

Hopefully they will be my next post! ;)

till then!
